In Ballinderreen, there’s a school we all know,
And a church nearby where horse chestnut trees grow
We play in the pitch – hurling, camogie and more
It’s the centre of the parish, the place we adore.

In Ballinderreen, we had our own ghost
She was terrifying and feared by most
The Long Black hand was her name and she worked through the night
Killing all who passed by her, ‘til they put up a fight.

Tyrone House still stands by Kilcolgan shore,
A grand old mansion that locals adored.
They burned it down to stop the Black and Tans’ raid,
And the ruins stand now where history was made.

St Sourneys’ our school, named after the saint
Her well can help, if you’ve a head complaint,
